Assembling a Digital Scrapbook Page

Published by leahsfrog at 9:33 pm under Random Posts Edit This

I am having a bad day today, from the time I got up until the time the children went to bed tonight I did my best to keep then from interupting my husbands recording time. See my whole family plays an instrument in our very own family band; I know sounds kinda corny but we have alot of fun together. Well I only asked that at some point I be able to pick up my bass and maybe recording me singing, never happened. As soon as the hubby was finished playing and recording he just turned everything off and put it away, when I got upset he gave me a thousand and one reasons why HE was done. Okay, well what does HE have to do with me playing and singing? It would not have upset me so much if it was not for the fact that this has happened four days in a row, I get ready to finally get my time and suddenly everyone else is turning their equipment off and turning televisions and radios on. Well, enough of my whining for today huh.

Where were we on the scrapbooking front? Ah yes, we talked about unzipping and storing your downloaded files. Where to go from there, hmmm…..

How about putting a page together? First of all you want to open whatever pictures you will be using and make and changes to the quality and size. If you want to add any effects now is the time to do that as well. Once your picture is ready save it and close. Open up your scrapbook software, or graphics program if that is what you use, and pick your background paper. Choose whatever elements your going to put on your page based on what you want it to say. Play around with your layers, sometimes a flower may look better under the picture instead of over the corner of it. If your software lets you add drop shadows or glows experiment with them to add depth to your elements. Wordart, journaling or thought boxes can add just the right amount of personalization to a page using a popular kit that many people may have used already. Once your page is the way you want it make sure you save it as a .jpeg image.

You are now ready to share your page, if you upload it to a digi-scrap community remember to give credit to the designers of the kit or kits you used. You may also think about stating what kind of camera was used to take the picture and what software you used to enhance your photo. If your going to email your creation to a friend or relative this information is not necessary.

Well, I will leave you tonight as I always do; Kiss your babies!
