Using Digital Scrapbook kit for Web or Blog Designs
I was emailed today from someone who wanted to know if they could use a digital scrapbook kit for their we-site design. The true answer to this questions is that it depends on the designer, each person has a different set of usage rules that can be obtained by going to their site or should be included in their downloads. first thing, never claim the work as your own and second provide their name and a linkback to their site if they require this.
If you have a design that was a commercial use ok item, either a freebie or something you purchased, you can usually use it in many ways without having to pay extra to do so. It all comes back to the Terms of Use for each designer, some have an extensive amount of rules to be followed and some are more lax with their designs usage.
My commercial use freebies which can be located on my Blog, LeahsFrogs Creations (link is listed in the blogroll to the right if you want to check it out) are free for you to use in anyway you choose. Yes, I do unterstand the implications of that statement and still I do not have any limitations attached to my commercial use freebies. This however does not apply to my paid to use commercial or personal use kits, but if you want to use a kit you purchased to spruce up your web-site or blog, please feel free to do so as long as you state somewhere on your page that the kits name and my design name.
Well, kiss those babies.
