Photoshop Shortcuts:Few more Keyboard Commands
OK so I went ahead and just started playing around in Photoshop this afternoon, checking out the keystrokes to bring you a few shortcuts that might make your time a little less crowded while designing. I know there are way more than what I will mention here, I’m only giving you a brief walk through today.
To open a new document that has the same settings and format as the one you are currently working on, just press Ctrl>Alt>N. This is handy when you want to work on more than one embellishment at a time to co-ordinate colors easily.
To save your file you will want to press Ctrl>S, and if you want to save for web you press Ctrl>Alt>Shift>S. Ctrl>C copies your image and Ctrl>V pastes it; might as well eliminate the complicated steps to manually copy and paste between documents in Photoshop CS4 that we talked about yesterday.
Undo/Redo is Ctrl>Z, this is in my opinion the most miraculous invention for any program. I know all to well how many time I have erased something that was completely unintentional.
I think that’s good for today (to be honest I have to go in and play some more before I give you more shortcuts, my children insisted on taking the Holiday photos today). Kiss your babies.
